FIGURING PLASTICITY

A process involving study models, experiments, and mock-ups drove the evolution of this project. Rather than following one linear path, this project relied on experimentation and the exploration of multiple avenues. After each physical model or test, the project went through a re-evaluation period, often changing the course of the project and of the research. A clear solution to the problem of designing and fabricating an installation specific to the site, while considering material, structure, color, pattern, and economy evolved through an iterative and experimental process.
